Giraffes are not only my favorite animal but also my spirit animal. Growing up as a Muslim, I now consider myself a cultural Muslim who no longer practices religion in the traditional sense. Instead, I believe in a higher power—deeply spiritual, personal, and unique to each of us.
I refer to this higher power by many names—Allah, God, The Universe, or Source—acknowledging the beauty in different interpretations and languages. I also believe that all religions originally began as movements to connect with the divine and cultivate a personal relationship with our higher selves. Unfortunately, over time, these sacred movements were often hijacked for political purposes, power, and control.
Jesus, a revered prophet in Islam, holds a special place in my spiritual journey. For me, he is an ascended master and has always appeared in my life as a giraffe—a symbol of grace, wisdom, and vision. This is why the giraffe has become the mascot for Socially Infected, my mission to spread love, connect the world, and work toward achieving global peace.
I pray every day for world peace and strive to spread love wherever I go.
