Giraffes aren’t just my favorite animal. They’re my spirit guide, my divine mascot, and my cosmic reminder to always see life from the highest perspective.
Growing up Muslim, I connected deeply with the beauty of spiritual discipline and reverence. Today, I call myself a cultural Muslim. I don’t follow religion in the traditional sense anymore, but I absolutely believe in a higher power. Whether you call it Allah, God, Source, or The Universe, it’s all love, and it’s all sacred. I also speak three languages, which constantly reminds me that there are many ways to name, interpret, and experience the Divine. Connection with our higher self is personal, unique, and limitless, yet love is the thread that runs through it all.
I also believe most religions began as personal movements to connect with the Divine and embody our highest selves. Somewhere along the way, those sacred messages were hijacked by systems of control, but the truth is still alive underneath.
Because I didn’t grow up Christian, I never really resonated with the crucifix. So one day, I asked Jesus to show up in a way I could vibe with—something playful, high-frequency, and aligned with my soul. And wouldn’t you know it? He came to me as a giraffe. Tall, gentle, wise, and just a little weird… exactly like me.
Jesus reminded me that he knew how to have fun. He turned water into wine. He rolled with fishermen and rebels, everyday people like you and me. He didn’t come to rule from a throne. He came to show us how to embody the Divine in human form. That’s why he’s such an essential part of my journey, even outside of religious labels.
The giraffe keeps me grounded while reminding me to keep my head high. To rise above the noise. To reach for the sweet fruit. And to never forget how sacred and beautiful this human experience can be.
That’s why the giraffe became the face of Socially Infected, my mission to spread love, connect hearts, and help birth global peace, one conversation, one dance, and one truth at a time.
I pray for world peace every day. And I do my best to live it out loud.
