Hi, I’m Fareena, most people call me Doc.

I was born and raised in Tanzania, and like many growing up in a developing country, I dreamed of coming to America to chase something bigger. That dream came true in 2002 when I moved to the U.S. on a scholarship to Hamline University. I started out as a pre-med student and went on to earn my Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Minnesota.

I practiced until 2015, when I realized the healthcare and higher education systems were built more on profit than people. That’s when I chose to walk away. Still, I kept the name “Doc,” because healing remains my mission. I just do it through love now.

In 2023, after 21 grueling and totally worth-it years of blood, sweat, and tears, I finally got my citizenship. Holding my American passport in my hands was one of the most powerful moments of my life—a freedom many American-born citizens will never fully fathom. To me there is no white privilege, no black privilege, no male privilege, no female privilege… there is only American privilege: the privilege of freedom. And I believe that freedom is meant to inspire and spread across the world. That’s the global revolution toward #WorldPeace!

In 2012, I founded Socially Infected. Not just an app. Not just a brand. But a global love movement. It was born from a simple truth: in a world that feels increasingly divided and disconnected, what we need most is deeper, more meaningful connection.

Socially Infected is designed to help people meet, connect, and evolve, raising consciousness one divine connection at a time. Because when we truly take the time to know one another, we begin to care for one another. We help each other heal, grow, and awaken into higher awareness. That’s the kind of world I want to live in, and that’s exactly what I’m building.

One of my favorite local spots is The Lookout Bar in Maple Grove, Minnesota—a family-owned gem that’s been around for 67 years. To me, it embodies everything I believe in: community, authenticity, and high-vibe fun.

Albert Einstein once wrote to his daughter that love is the most powerful force in the universe, that love has the power to heal the world. Since emotion is energy in motion, love is the highest frequency we can embody. I’m here to put that theory to the test.

Socially Infected is my way of healing the world—through love, joy, conversation, and truth. Jesus is at the heart of it. Trump has a role too. And together, it all connects into something bigger than any one of us.
