Hi, I’m Fareena—also known as Doc! I immigrated to the United States from Tanzania in 2002 at the age of 18, embarking on a journey that gave me a profound appreciation for the freedoms and opportunities this country offers. Coming from a developing nation, I never imagined how much these experiences would shape my path.
As someone who has navigated social anxiety but deeply values the human need for connection, I launched Socially Infected in 2012 to help people from all walks of life meet, connect, and create meaningful relationships.
One of my favorite local spots is The Lookout Bar in Maple Grove—a family-owned treasure that’s been part of the community for 66 years. The warmth of the owners and staff has made them feel like family to me, and they embody the kind of connection and community I hope to inspire through this platform.
Socially Infected is about more than just socializing. It’s a movement to bring people together, foster understanding, and create a ripple effect of kindness that transforms the world. I’ve always believed in Albert Einstein’s words: “Love will heal the world.” With Socially Infected, I’m putting that belief into action, building a platform where love, community bonds, and positive energy can truly thrive. Let’s Make Earth Great Again!!!
Love always,
Fareena (QDoc)
